The Garden

We planted a small garden this year (corn, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and zucchini). Blake and Blair have really enjoyed checking to see when things are ready. Blake is a good vegetable eater. I wish he could rub off on his sister. Scott and Blake were especially excited to get corn the other night.

Golfing

We have been taking Blake and Blair out on the golf course in the evenings and "playing" a few holes. They seem to really enjoy going and Blake makes semi-regular contact with the ball. Blair mostly likes the sand and chasing Blake.

Too Cool

Blake told Blair to "act cool". Notice they are not smiling. Really? Are we old enough for cool yet??

Fun at the Fountains

Amy and I met with the kids in Nashville at the fountains today. They had a lot of fun. Amy and I love watching them play together especially now that Blair and Maddie are old enough to join in. And, believe me they dish out their fair share. Blair thought it was hilarious that she doused my backside!

Bible School

Blake participated in the Mini Kicks Soccer camp at APSU this week.  He had a great time!  I had hoped to get some good pictures and maybe video this morning when we went to watch. Unfortunately, it was storming so the kids played in the gym.  I did manage to get a couple of pictures between the tornado warning and general craziness.  Gee, what a day!!

I took some pictures of Blake on the last day of school.  Sort-of bittersweet.  He had such a fun year, great teachers and lots of friends.  Some of his friends are moving (hi-lights my love/hate relationship with the military) and others will be in the pre-K class next year.  Blake will be in the 4's next year and will still only go three days/week.  Not a problem for mommy, but I'm not sure how he's going to react next fall.  

Sprinkler Fun

It was pretty hot here today so we got out the sprinkler.  It turned out to be a dinky sprinkler.  I was about to cut off the water but, I looked over and Blair was having the best time.  It was just her speed.  She would get a drink of water and then say "aaahhhh!"

How old are you??

Blake was 4 yesterday!  I can hardly believe it.  We had a party for some of him with some of his little friends from school and will go home this weekend to celebrate with the family.  It has been so rainy that all the partying took place inside, but the kids seemed to have a great time anyway!  Blake got a bike and a soccer ball and goal.  He also got a "super fast" (as he says) pair of soccer cleats and socks with shin guards from his friends the Crawfords!  He's ready to play!     

Spring Sing 2009

Blake and Blair had their "Spring Sing" today at pre-school.  They both did a great job.  Blair was especially excited to see her daddy.

We had a great day!  Went to early church for a beautiful service, 

followed by lunch, naps, a walk and golf (on tv).
