Christmas Pictures

Hogan doing what he does best...he's starting to turn gray in the snout. He'll be 6 in February

Blair got the Little Mommy All In One Nursery from Santa.

Blake got a Big Red Barn from Santa. Notice the bracelets and necklaces that Blair has on. She loves her jewelry!!

Blair got a princess dress and all the rest from my grandmother for Christmas. There are even little shoes and she just loves it. I thought she was going to sleep in it the other night. She loves to have her fingernails and toenails painted and my mother loves to paint them!

Snow pics

My parents have a very long driveway. My dad got the golf cart out to assist in the sledding efforts. It made the walk up a little easier!

Hogan chasing Scott down the hill.

My parents have a "miniature" blue spruce in their yard that they put lights on every year. It looked so pretty in the snow.

Blair all bundled up! Yes, she could see. A little bit!

We have had a wonderful Christmas. Children really do make it so much fun! We visited my parents last weekend and it snowed. Not just a little bit but 8-10 inches! Perfect for sledding! The only bad part of the snow was that Scott couldn't leave Clarksville until lunch on Friday and he ended up sitting on the Interstate. So what should have been a 5 hour trip ended up taking 11 hours. We came back to Clarksville for Christmas Eve. We went to church, put out food for Santa's reindeer and cookies for Santa. Blake and Blair were so excited on Christmas morning. Mommy and Daddy were very excited too since Santa brought them a new SLR camera. Our old camera broke which is why there haven't been any photos recently. Mommy felt like she had a new toy!

We Give Thanks

Blake sang Sunday at church. He really enjoys the Cherub Choir. My personal favorite part of the video are the quiet chuckles of the older gentleman sitting behind me and the comment that followed after service. "That boy of yours sure likes to sing!" Yes, he does and I hope he will always love the Lord with that much enthusiasm! Happy Thanksgiving!

Blair

What a big girl I have! Blair is officially potty trained. She adds such fun to our house. She is sweet and sassy and I love her!

Happy Halloween

I didn't really get any new or different pictures of my two little goblins but we had a great time! I guess this was really the first year we actually braved the neighborhood and trick-or-treated. Last year we just went to the houses on our culdesac. I brought along an extra bag to empty Blair's pumpkin into because I thought it might get a little heavy for her. It did, but do you think she would let me dare empty HER candy in the bag. No, she just struggled with, trying to keep up with Blake to every house. There's probably a little trail of candy to every house we visited last night! When we got home B&B asked to go to bed! Blake tried to stay up and watch the UT's (as he calls them), but he just couldn't make it. A very successful night!

Fall Festival

Our church had a Fall Festival on Wednesday evening. Lots of fun games, prizes and candy! Thought I would post these few pictures. I'm sure we'll take more tonight.

Blair singing

Well, I use to be worried that Blair wouldn't talk. I'm not worried about that anymore! She just chats it up most of time these days. Sometimes it's a little hard to understand her, but she does pretty good and is always enthusiastic about what she has to say.

Praise Ye, All Ye Little Children

Today was Children's Sabbath at our church. It was such a nice service and all of the wonderful kids at our church had a part! Blake really enjoys singing in the choir and he really just loves church in general. He is so at home there! It makes me really happy! On the ride home he asked me if I could get him "one of those church outfits because that's what I want to be when I grow up"! (Our pastors and choir members wear robes) I may have to remind him that he said that later in life.

Fun on the Farm

We had our annual hay ride with our sunday school class. We had a great time as always. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Blair LOVED the smores. We are so blessed to have a good group of friends (for us and our children).

All Four of Us

Nana visited this weekend and so we had someone to take a picture of all of us. And, we managed to all be looking at the camera. Amazing!

SOCCER!

Blake had his first soccer game today. We had no idea how it would go. All of these kids are under 5. Blake's team scored 5 goals and Blake scored 4 of them! I only managed to catch one on camera and I was jumping up and down so excuse the camera work. Most importantly, he had a great time!

First Day of School

Blake and Blair are all ready for their first day of pre-school! Mommy is too! Oh wait, I guess Blair wasn't quite ready. She just brought me one of my bottles of nail polish (OPI, Strawberry Margarita, she has good taste) and said, "paint my pretty pingers?"

Summer Winding Down

Summer has been great and I am sad to see it go! Although, I think I might be able to count the hours to September 9th at 9:00 when PRE-SCHOOL STARTS! We are looking forward to Blake starting soccer and all of the fun that fall brings. These are just some random pictures from the last couple of weeks or so.

My three favorite people...We visited Baptist hospital for the NICU "birthday party" last weekend. Blake enjoyed seeing where he was "borned" (as he says). It also spawned some interesting conversation. For instance, "Mommy, did Hogan come out of your belly too?"

Blair helped mamaw make biscuits. MMMMM!!

Cousins are so much fun! Blair, Marley, Blake & Morgan.

Sweet Boy!

While visiting mom and dad we made a trip over to Bristol Motor Speedway. My uncles work during race week preparing the suites so we got to go up and take a look. Of course, Blake really wanted to go on the track and Blair kept saying "Cars go wround and wround and wround."

Blair enjoying a cupcake that her nannie made...yummy!

Blair loves to wash her hands and brush her teeth! If we can't find her for a few minutes it's safe to say she is in her bathroom. This is where I found her the other day. Notice the toothpaste on her face.

Fun with Friends

Blair, Caleb, Blake and Clara

A couple of weeks ago, we visited with our good friend Kathryn and got to meet the newest addition to their family-Clara. The kids had a lot of fun and Kathryn and I might have finished a conversation-maybe!

The Look

The photographer was able to capture what I call "the look" from Blair.

New Pictures of B&B

Some formal photographs we recently had made.

This and That

We had such a nice weekend. Spent lots of time at the pool. Blair has NO FEAR of the water. I'm going to choose to look at this as a good thing because I really don't think that there would be much I could do about it anyway. In June, we had to coax her to jump in the pool. Now she is actually swimming with her face in the water, coming up to take breaths. Blake loves to run and jump into the pool yelling "cannonball!". On Saturday, it was very hot and we decided to take a drive north to Mammoth Cave National Park. No better place to be than underground where the temperature was a cool 56 degrees! We were unsure how B&B would like it, but they did great. We did the shorter self-guided tour. Didn't have to carry anybody and no whining or complaining. Scott put up a new teeter-totter for the kids on the swing set. Blair decided she was too big for baby swing so we took it down. She loves to swing and says "higher, higher". School starts soon. Blair will be in the two year old class and Blake will be in the four year old class. Can't believe Blake will be in Kindergarten next year. We'll be making the most of this year!

The Garden

We planted a small garden this year (corn, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and zucchini). Blake and Blair have really enjoyed checking to see when things are ready. Blake is a good vegetable eater. I wish he could rub off on his sister. Scott and Blake were especially excited to get corn the other night.

Golfing

We have been taking Blake and Blair out on the golf course in the evenings and "playing" a few holes. They seem to really enjoy going and Blake makes semi-regular contact with the ball. Blair mostly likes the sand and chasing Blake.
