Storybook Character Day

We had Storybook Character Day at school last week. Blair was Lily from Lily's Purple Plastic Purse. Blake was a mummy from Mummies in the Morning a Magic Treehouse book and I was Glinda the good witch and my fellow 2nd grade teachers were other characters from the Wizard of Oz. Our faculty also decorated Storybook Pumpkins for a hallway display. It was a fun day!

Late September/Early October

A few random pictures. Harumi and I took Blair to the Taylor Swift Concert. She loved it! It was a really great show. She was a little overwhelmed and realized that a lot goes on after her bedtime. Mom and Dad visited the next weekend and Blair had fun helping mamaw bake a chocolate cake. The next weekend Aimee and I took the girls to see the Disney Princesses on Ice. It was a great way to get them excited about Disney.

Fantasia Golf & Epcot

Played Fantasia mini golf last night. Very fun! Went to Epcot this morning and did Future World (Soarin, Test Trac etc.) ate in Italy and wandered around World Showcase. 

Animal Kingdom and POOL

Spent morning at Animal Kingdom and afternoon at the pool. They have constant activities for kids-crafts, games, dance party etc. at the pool kids+activities=relaxationformomanddad!

Enjoyed the safari, Nemo show and conquering the Yeti and Mt. Everest!

Cars!

Our hotel is in an area that is themed after the movie Cars. Last night before going to Epcot to eat and watch the fireworks, I took some pictures of B&B with all of the Cars characters.

Disney Day 1

Went to Magic Kingdom for Halloween Party last evening. Went back this morning to ride a few rides we didn't get to last night. Blair met two of her favorite princesses-Cinderella and Aurora.

First Day of Fall

Not officially, but it felt like it. It was a beautiful day for soccer, football, friends and playing outside which is what we did all day.

First Day of School

Better late than never on the First Day of School post. Blair is in 1st grade and Blake is in 3rd. They are both good students and enjoy school which makes this momma's job a little easier. It was also my first day of school in a long time. I am teaching second grade and really enjoying being back in the classroom. My sweet parents came to help out during the first week where I was working but the children weren't back yet. It was really good to have them here and they got to bring Blake and Blair to school on the first day as well.
