Blair loved dancing in front of the screen. As you can see she was having a great time!

The Ticket Blaster

Blair was very excited about getting in the Ticket Blaster until it was time to do it. So, I got in with her. There is a reason they gave her protective eyewear! It hurt! She made it through it and got 400 tickets....

Jungle Boogie

Blair got Just Dance for Kids for her birthday. She and Blake tried it out as soon as they got home. Hilarious!!

A Handsome Boy and a Beautiful Girl!

The Symphony

We took Blake and Blair to the Nashville Symphony's Pied Piper Series concert on Saturday as something special to celebrate Blair's birthday. Blake and I had been before and loved it so we thought we'd all go. Aunt Becky and Taylor were visiting and attended the pre-concert activities with us and then we met them for lunch after the performance. The concert was The Listener and included mimes. They were entertaining and the concert was wonderful!

If You Can't Beat It...

I hate snow. Really I do. I know, I should choose not to complain and I didn't (the first couple of times) but this is getting ridiculous. Nevertheless, we have been having fun!

Blair Ballet

We got the opportunity to see Blair "perform" today at ballet class. It was supposed to happen before Christmas but we have missed two classes because of snow. They were all so sweet! Follow closely in the video. There is another little girl that looks a lot like Blair but she's a little more blonde. Towards the end Blair is actually not right in front of us but more towards the right of the screen.

Our Visitor

We had a visitor on our door when we returned after our hike. He refused to leave his perch. It took Scott getting a broom and jostling the wreath he was on to get him to leave.

Winter

Scott and I like to go to the mountains in the winter. This time there happened to be snow. Enough snow to kinda get excited about. We decided to go for a hike. We took the road to the Roaring Fork Motor Tour and stopped at the Rainbow Falls trailhead. We didn't hike all the way to the falls only about a mile in, but it was beautiful! It was so quiet. There was no wind and really not many birds singing. All you could hear was the rushing stream nearby. The snow was beginning to melt and it was a dry snow so it glistened like pixie dust in the air as it fell from the trees. So many people go to the Smokey Mountains and never make it to the National Park. I have a love hate relationship with Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. While I can appreciate that they stimulate the local economy etc and it is certainly nice to have a decent place to eat when you visit. I hate that so many see that rather than the true beauty of GSMNP.

Snow Day

We missed two days last week because of snow. We really didn't get that much compared to others in the mid-state. However, it was enough to cancel school. I didn't get too many pictures of playing in the snow because they are big enough now to send out in the back yard :) In this particular picture Blake has just thrown snow in his sister's face. And look how happy he is about it! Little stink!
